Stunning cased display of Australian and African birds. Comprising fourteen brightly-coloured specimens in good order, perched upon painted and lichen-encrusted branches with Spicer’s early-style vegetation and a simulated pool of water forming part of the groundwork. All seamlessly blended with a soft watercolour painted background. Housed in an ebonised three-sided glazed and beaded case, the front highlighted in gilt. Species include: Superb and Splendid Fairywrens, pair of Budgerigars, pair of Swainson’s Lorikeets, Malachite Sunbird, Rainbow Bee-eater, Red-capped Plover, Greater and Southern Double-colared Sunbirds, Green Woodhoopoe, Common Bronzewing and Grey Cuckooshrike.
